PALMS NZ - All our plants are bought in as seedlings; some are no bigger than a blade of grass; we then pot them on in a special blend of potting mix that has all nutrients and insecticides as well as slow release fertilizer. We then place the plant into our propagation house for around 14 months. From here the plant gets repotted and moved into another greenhouse. These houses are disease free and as close as possible sterile. As the plant gets larger it moves yet again and the repotting process is repeated many times. Where a plant is intended to be planted outdoors we then move the plant outdoors under shade cloth. Here the plants start to acclimatize to the conditions that will allow it to survive.
