TUROA SKI FIELD -
Turoa Ski Area offers an exciting snow experience for all the family with an excellent variety of terrain to suit all levels of skiers and boarders. Turoa is the highest ski area in New Zealand with 9 lifts giving access to 500 hectares (about 1200 acres) of patrolled terrain.

TUKINO SKI FIELD -
Nestled on the eastern slopes of Mt Ruapehu in New Zealand’s North Island, Tukino Ski Field offers the rare combination of adventure and lack of crowds, coupled with the friendliness and camaraderie that’s only found on club-operated fields. MAUNGANUI SKI AREA -
The T-Bar accessed lower slopes are open and gentle. This is in contrast with the nutcracker accessed upper slopes which are steeper. As with most New Zealand terrain the slopes are open and treeless.
Stratford Mountain Club Lodge is for members only. There is public shelter for daily public use, containing restrooms, ticket office and canteen. Hotel and motel accommodations are available for the public 3km below the ski field.

MOUNT CHEESEMAN SKI FIELD -
Mount Cheeseman is the second closest ski area to Christchurch. The ski field is a sunny east to south east basin with open rolling terrain. With great beginner and intermediate slopes, Mount Cheeseman is perfect for learners and families (click here to view the trail map). Two T Bars give easy access to well groomed gentle terrain and the Learners Tow is located right beside the main lodge.
You can choose to stay up on the mountain in Snowline Lodge or alternatively Forest Lodge, which is nestled in the Beech Forest and is an easy 5 minute drive in from SH 73.

PORTER HEIGHTS SKI AREA -
Rising to nearly 2000 metres Porter Heights offers spectacular views of the Southern Alps with Lake Coleridge sparkling below. Good natural snow, improved snowmaking and extensive grooming keep the slopes and trails in top condition.

MOUNT HUTT SKI AREA -
Mount Hutt is the largest ski area in Canterbury. From the on-piste with a mixture of man made and natural snow to the many off-piste areas with wide open bowls, steeps and shutes. There is plenty of terrain for every level of skier. There is a large beginners area in front of the base buildings, wide grommed run running the length of the field for intermediates and experts, and the off-piste. The Towers and South Face offer plenty of varied terrain for the more advanced skier.

HAMNER SPRINGS SKI AREA -
Hanmer Springs Ski Area is situated on Mt. St. Patrick, 1850m, and is an easy 40 minutes drive from the alpine thermal holiday resort of Hanmer Springs. In a good season with lots of snow there is some fabulous skiing. The ski runs cater for all stages of skiers, but especially anyone of intermediate grade who'll literally discover a mountain of fun! While all the main runs are groomed there's still plenty of virgin snow left for the experts and the more adventurous to enjoy.

CORONET PEAK SKI FIELD -
Coronet Peak is the most developed ski area in the South Island. It is spread across a broad mountain. There are many ways to get down Coronet through every type of terrain from the wide groomed run called M1, to mogul runs, to wide open back bowls. There is a huge beginners area with chairlift access, which copes with the biggest crowds.

THE REMARKABLES SKI FIELD -
The 2nd closest Ski field from Queenstown. Only 50 minutes drive by car (you may need chains) or take the bus. The road is sealed from town to the mountain turn off, then its 14km of unsealed mountain road. A fantastic ski field for families and particularily good for the advanced skier or snowboarder that likes to go off piste (snow conditions permitting). Children 10 years and under a free and the mountain get loads of sun.
