Recent former players have been appointed as junior selectors and captains of New Zealand’s age group tennis teams forming a panel of new faces but with plenty of experience.
Alistair Hunt, former Davis Cup player, Niki Tippins, former Fed Cup member and Werner Venter the current Waikato coach comprise the selection panel for the 16’s and 18’s. Hunt will captain the boys team and Niki, the girls.

There are 11 clubs affiliated to Tennis Hawke’s Bay, representing approximately 1200 members.
Tennis Hawke’s Bay’s administrative centre is at the Pettigrew.Green Arena in Taradale. The Association’s courts are a ten court complex at the Onekawa Tennis Centre, Maadi Road in Onekawa.
